Eric Loose
Eric Loose, 68, of Pillager, passed away September 3, 2016, at his home.
Memorial services were held Sept. 7 at the Kolden Funeral Home in Le Sueur.
Arrangements were with the Brenny Funeral Chapel and Cremation Service.
Eric Roy Loose was born July 3, 1948 to Milo and Carol (Rethwill) Loose in St. Peter. He was baptized and confirmed in the United Methodist Church of Le Sueur. He graduated from Le Sueur High School in 1966. Upon graduation he completed basic training at Ft. Ord, California, and was active in the Army Reserve for 16 years. He attended Faribault Vocational School. On May 11, 1968 he married Janet Dressel. They were later divorced. He lived in Mt. Lake for 18 years and was employed at Balzer Manufacturing, was a volunteer EMT for the Mt. Lake Ambulance, taught firearm safety and was a Sunday school at Trinity Lutheran Church and where he was also a member. On September 10, 1993 he married Ann (Gilronan) Ahlbrecht. They lived in Wishek, ND, Wadena and Pillager. He retired from Tri County Health Ambulance, Wadena as a paramedic. After retiring he enjoyed spending time gardening, canning, hunting, fishing, bird watching and riding his new tractor. He was a frequent contributor at the corner of knowledge.
Eric is survived by his wife; three daughters, Lisa Tressler, Michelle (David) Koslowski and Erin (Jason) Hassebroek; one son, Matthew Loose; one step-son, Jerry Ahlbrecht; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four sisters, Gail (Jim) Maconkey, Beth Ann Smith, Lynn Rydberg, Kent (Pam) Loose, Mary (Duane) Tiegs; one brother, Kirk (Jean) Loose; one sister-in-law, Linda Loose; one brother-in-law, John Gilronan.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Gary and Glen; one grandson.
