Erma Pavlacky

Erma Pavlacky, 93, of Staples, passed away peacefully November 17, 2017 at her home. 

Services were held Nov. 20 at Faith Lutheran Church in Staples, with Pastor Carl Larson officiating. 

Interment was at West Lyons Cemetery in Verndale.

Arrangements were with the Brenny Funeral Chapel, Staples.

Erma was born February 9, 1924, to Christ and Anna (Raddohl) Swenson in Hazel Run. She went to school in Clarkfield and was confirmed into the Lutheran faith there. Erma moved to the Staples area with her family. She married Don Pavlacky on October 23, 1943 in Staples. Erma worked in the woods cutting pulp, at the Cozy Café, the Staples hospital and at the Carter-Ringer plant. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. Erma enjoyed crocheting, dancing, playing cards, gardening, flowers, cooking, baking and canning. Most important to Erma was her family.

Erma is survived by  one son, Butch (Gail) of Vergas and one daughter, Gail (Dale) Betz of St. Peter; 12 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her husband; two daughters, Donna Klause and Connie Dailey; son-in-law, Jim Dailey; parents and seven siblings.
