Eugene Dennemeyer

Eugene (Gene)Thomas Dennemeyer, 76, of Motley, passed away May 17, 2023, in Baxter at Diamond Willow Assisted Living.

Mass of Christian burial was held May 22 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Staples. 

Interment was at Evergreen Hill Cemetery, Staples.

Gene was born October 21, 1946, to Albert and Angela (Adamietz) Dennemeyer in Staples. Gene spent his entire life on the farm working with his father. Gene’s land adjoined the family farm that had been in the family for over 100 years.

Gene graduated from Staples High School in 1964. He served in the Army Reserves for six years. He  worked as a Lineman Electrician for Todd Wadena Electric for 30 years. Gene enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing on the Crow Wing River and driving around the neighborhood in his truck. He enjoyed having company and a good conversation.

Gene is survived by his former wife, Anne Converse; one sister, Frances Dennemeyer and two nephews, Richard and Kenneth Geske.

He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Agnes Geske.

Arrangements were by Taylor Funeral Home, Staples.
