Fern Branchaud
Fern Branchaud, 89, of Staples passed away December 19, 2016 at Lakewood Health System Care Center in Staples.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 23, at 2 p.m., at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples, with visitation from 1 to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will be at St. James Cemetery in Philbrook.
Arrangements are with Brenny Funeral Chapel of Staples.
Fern Rose Branchaud was born September 21, 1927, to Forrest and Nellie (Hedglin) Webster in Detroit Lakes, where she also grew up. She married Martin Branchaud on February 13, 1948. The couple lived in Fargo, Ponsford and Detroit Lakes. In 1973, Fern moved to Dent, where she worked at the potato and egg plant in Perham. Later Fern worked at the turkey plant in Pelican Rapids, retiring from there after 30 years of service. Fern moved to Staples in 2007. She enjoyed horses, miniature donkeys, her many collections, reading, baking, embroidering gardening and spending time with her great-grandchildren
She is survived by four daughters, Victoria Tomlinson, McAllen, TX, Debbie Prodoehl, Dardanelle, AR, Mickie (Bob) Hessenius, Brook Park and Kathie (Tim) Carlson, Motley; four sons, Kyle “Rocky” (Barb) Branchaud, Motley, Patrick (Connie) Branchaud, Austin, Robin (Terrie) Branchaud, Lake Park and Douglas Branchaud, Detroit Lakes; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one brother, Howard Webster, Webster, SD.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; four brothers, Gordon, George, Gerald and Bob; an infant sister; one grandson, Luke Hessenius; two sons-in-law, Bruce Tomlinson and Del Prodoehl and special friend, Norb Rosenthal.
