Frances Mead

Frances Jane Mead, 75, of Wadena passed away March 30, 2017 at her home.

Funeral services were held April 7, at the Oylen Alliance Church.

Burial was at Wing River Cemetery, Bluegrass.

Arrangments were with the Schuller Funeral Home.

Frances was born February 17, 1942 in Benson to Clarence and Gladys (Mills) Eblen. She attended a private country school. Frances married Donald Bowen in 1961. They had five children. She married Russell Mead in 1969 and they had four children.

Frances enjoyed gardening, yard work and being around horses and cattle. She especially loved spending time with her family and friends.

Frances is survived by four sons, Terry Bowen of Oylen, Jerry (Jenny) Bowen of AZ, Alfred (Jennie) Mead of Verndale and Dick Mead of Wadena; four daughters, Susan Bowen of Browerville, Jane Verbeck of Staples, Clara Mead of Browerville and Lois Mead of Wadena; many grandchildren, cousins and other loving family members.

She was preceded in death by her husbands; parents; one son, James Bowen; daughter-in-law Tammy Bowen; son-in-law Delroy Verbeck; brothers, sisters and great-grandchildren.
