Gaylord “Juddy” Judd, 67, of Staples passed away February 6, 2018 at the St. Cloud Hospital.
A Celebration of Life was held Feb. 13 at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples.

Gaylord was born March 10, 1950 in Anacortes, Washington to Clifford and Laurine (Schmidt) Judd. His family moved to the Staples area when he was in seventh grade. Juddy graduated from Staples High School in 1969. He attended the Staples Vo-Tech and graduated from the Machinist Program. He worked in a machine shop in the Twin Cities before returning to Staples. Juddy was united in marriage to Kathie Holst on July 26, 1971 in Staples. He worked at the feed store on the south side of town; Transco in Staples for four years cleaning boxcars and Woodland Container for many years until they closed. He also worked as a carpenter and was employed at Timber Roots in Wadena for the past 10 years. Juddy enjoyed camping, woodworking, history, nature and being outdoors. He especially enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Juddy is survived by his wife; one daughter, Sheila (Adam) Christoffersen of Staples; two sons, Mark (Char) Judd of Motley and Todd (Erin) Judd of Staples; eight grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; mother, Laurine Judd of Granite Falls; siblings, Lloyd Judd of Staples, Fred Judd of Alexandria, Bean Judd of Cottonwood and Marcy Judd of Granite Falls.
He was preceded in death by his father; infant brothers, Mark and David and one brother, Cliff.
