Gloria Shelson Schumacher

Gloria (LaRane) Shelson Schumacher, 90, of Staples, formerly of Albert Lea, passed away March 12, 2020 in Staples.

Services will be held at a later date.

Gloria was born August 23, 1929 in Rochester, NY to Joseph and Irene (Burnham) LaRane, was baptized and confirmed at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Rochester, NY.

Gloria married Lloyd Schumacher on February 26, 1977 at First Lutheran Church in Albert Lea. They moved to Staples in June of 2015.

Gloria is survived by her husband, Lloyd; one step-daughter, Donna (Dan) Shaw, Staples; two grandsons, Adam (Jenny) Shaw of St. Paul Park and Jeremy (Darcy) Shelson, Columbus, OH; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Gerald Shelson (Columbus, OH); one sister, Mildred and one brother, Irving (both Rochester, NY) and first husband, George Shelson.
