Harold Shinabarger

Harold Lester Shinabarger, 68, of Owatonna  and formerly of Staples, passed away March 24, 2017 in Faribault.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 1, at 11 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home, Staples with Pastor Barry Kline presiding. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services.

Interment will be at the Motley Cemetery.

Arrangements are with the Taylor Funeral Home, Staples.

Harold was born November 28, 1948, to Lester and Joy (Olin) Shinabarger, in Staples. He graduated from Staples High School in 1968 and went into the U.S. Army in 1969. Harold worked at Viracon in Owatonna and most recently at Crestliner. He was a passionate collector of everything; had a sense of humor, telling jokes and stories.

He is survived by his children; Kelly Shinabarger-Taylor, Shannon Shinabarger and Shane Shinabarger; eight grandchildren; five great-great- grandchildren; three sisters, Catherine (Don) Hansen, Carol (Abner) Miller and Hope (Ed) Lucas along with nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
