Karen A. Huebner, 78, of Staples passed away on March 29, 2019 at the Lakewood Care Center in Staples.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 4 at the Motley Methodist Church with Pastor Greg Leslie officiating. There will be a gathering of family and friends from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service.
Karen was born October 11, 1940 to Eda (Nelson) and Benjamin Dezell in Staples. She married Freddie R. Huebner on June 27, 1959. Karen was an avid painter. She also enjoyed her beautiful flowers and vegetable gardens. She was a fantastic cook and would direct the making of homemade Lefsa every year for church functions. Karen and her husband, Freddie loved spending time together fishing, golfing and bowling.
Karen is survived by her husband of 59 years; fur baby, Ole; one sister, LuJean (Mark) Ruel of Osseo; three sisters-in-law, Ethel Dezell of Staples, Bev (George) Swenson of Staples and Jeanie Huebner of Staples; one brother-in-law, Larry (Dorothy) Huebner of Staples and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Norma Jean Anderson; two brothers, Gerald Dezell and Gordy Dezell; three brothers-in-law, George Huebner, Warren Huebner and Gordon Anderson; four sisters-in-law, Arlene Robben, Delores Larson, June Loftis and Margie Carlson.
