Kathryn Evelyn  Ulrich was born March 10, 1933 to Adolph and Evelyn (Hagberg) Ulrich in Lafayette. She was baptized in 1933 and confirmed in 1947 at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church. She graduated from New Ulm Public High School in 1951. After graduating, Kathryn was united in marriage to Marvin Fiemeyer on October 19, 1952 at Courtland Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Kathryn was a good homemaker in her married life, raised five good children and spent a lot of time with the grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were her pride and joy. She also worked at Fiemeyer’s Gas Station, the Courtland Hardware Store, the Courtland Post Office and was an Avon Lady. Kathryn worked alongside her husband at the ball park all the years at the annual fish fry, making as much as 600 pounds of German potato salad in her kitchen. Kathryn was always ready to help Marvin with his meetings, hauling kids to games, watering the ballpark, hosting board meetings and more. She enjoyed going along to the deer camp and was the camp cook, cooking what everybody wanted like Sauerkraut, pork hocks and homemade dumplings.

She loved her family and will be dearly missed by those that knew her. Blessed be her memory.
