Lillian Karger
Lillian Karger, 97, of Wadena passed away July 30, 2017 at Tri-County Healthcare, Wadena.
Funeral services were held August 5 at St. John Lutheran Church in Wadena, with Pastor Stephen Meltzer presiding.
Burial was in the Wadena Cemetery, Wadena.
Arrangements were with the Schuller Family Funeral Homes, Wadena.
Lillian was born to William and Hilda (Lindien) Griepentrog on May 5, 1920 in Parkers Prairie. She attended Parkers Prairie School. On October 14, 1940 she married Edwin Karger in Fergus Falls. She was a lifetime member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the LWML of the Lutheran Church. She enjoyed word searches, puzzles, playing cards and fishing.
She is survived by two sons, Donald (Roberta) Karger and Ronald (Elise) Karger; one daughter, Maureen (Ralph) Gropper; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and one brother, Robert Harris.
She was preceded in death by her husband; two daughters, Janice and KarenLee; one brother, Gottfred; two sisters, Margaret, and Lucille and grandson, Michael Gropper.
