Linda Haisman

The angels called Linda Marie Haisman home to be with the Lord. Linda, 69, of Nevis and formerly of Staples, passed away unexpectedly from several health conditions at Sanford Medical in Fargo, ND. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. on May 22  at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Staples. Visitation will be on Fri., May 21 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel in Staples and one hour prior to services at the church.

Interment will be at Evergreen Hill Cemetery in Staples. 

Linda was born May 2, 1952 to Clarence and Opal (Stave) Mertens in Bertha. She spent her childhood on the family farm and attended Sacred Heart Catholic School, graduating from Staples High School and continuing her education in cosmetology at Northwest Technical College. Linda married her childhood sweetheart, Frank Haisman, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on July 3, 1971. Linda had a beauty shop at  her home for many years and was a stay at home mom to her four children and many others. She enjoyed many things including fishing, camping, playing cards,  dice, cooking, canning, baking, sewing, traveling, garage sales, thrift store shopping and spending time with her family and friends. She deeply loved nature and all animals. Linda will be deeply missed by all who knew her. 

She is survived by Frank, her husband of almost 50 years; four children, Terry (Wayne), Karl (Lisa), Tonya (Jon) and Kory; four grandchildren, Dylan (Cailie), Tate, Grace, Kylee; six siblings, Gab (Dot), Clyde (Deb), Jiggs, Anita, Marilyn and Evie and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Fritz and Swede and one nephew, Chad Mertens.
