LuAnn (Garland) Pride

LuAnn Lynn Pride, 61, of Bloomington, formerly of Staples, passed away on June 13, 2018.

A Memorial service will be held Saturday, June 23, at 11 a.m. at CrossPoint Church, 9801 France Ave. S., Bloomington. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.

LuAnn was born June 6, 1957, to Ray and Helen Garland in Minneapolis. She graduated from Staples High School in 1975 and attended Bethel College in 1976 and Staples Technical College in Graphic Arts graduating in 1988. She married Mike Pride on August 15, 1977. LuAnn was a talented artist and held a career as a graphic designer for both the Southwest Suburban and Sun Current newspapers. LuAnn loved spending time with family, friends and her five grandchildren.  

She is survived by her husband, Mike; one daughter, Joy (fiancé Jeremy), five grandsons, Tayton, Tyler, Trent, Trevor and Travis; father, Raymond Garland of Staples, three sisters, Loree (Bob) Larson, Lisa (Greg) Lawrence and Linda (Noel Samlaska) Dosmann; aunt, Levina Davis; cousin, Deb Hamann and many friends.

She was preceded indeath by her mother, Helen Garland. 

  Memorials may be sent to the American Diabetes Association.
