Luella Knutson

Luella Eileen (Barg) (Bell) Knutson passed away September 7, 2017, at the CentraCare Hospital in St. Cloud.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Sept. 14 at 11 a.m. at the Motley Free Methodist Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.

Arrangements are with Taylor Funeral Home, Staples.

Luella was born August 26, 1934 in Manson, Iowa to William and Theresa (Schienbein) Barg. She received her LPN nursing degree at the Brainerd Vocational Technical Institute and worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Brainerd for many years. Luella was married to Marvin Bell and after his passing she married Edwin Knutson. Luella had a passion for photography; and also enjoyed her vegetable and flower gardens, daily phone conversations with family and friends, dancing, cutting coupons and mailing out greeting cards. She was an avid reader and loved books.

She is survived by three daughters, Kay (Leon) Trout, Sue (Steve) Jacobs and Amy (Ron) Dvorak and two sons, Roy (Tammy) Bell and Les (Janene) Bell; 10 granddaughters Lisa (Trout) English, Amanda (Trout) Winter, Katie Bell, Cody (Bell) Warmbold, Taylor Jacobs, Sierra Milbradt, Kassandra Myers, Jenna Heidemann, Alexa Heidemann, Emma Bell; eight grandsons, Michael Dvorak, Colin Jacobs, Ryan Bell, Nathan Dvorak, Lee Bell, Cody Milbradt, Sam Bell and Owen Bell and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; one daughter, Lyn Bell; daughter-in-law, Mary Bell; grandson, Ty Bell and granddaughter, Tina Bell.
