Marco Puentes

Marco Anthony Puentes, 47, passed away June 29, 2019, following a tragic motorcycle accident. 

Catholic Mass was held Friday, July 5 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Staples. A Celebration of Life was held following.

Marco was born and raised in Vallejo, California. He moved to Staples in 2011 to manage Barmah Hats. He quickly fell in love with the Minnesota life style. He enjoyed fishing, hours at Snap Fitness, meeting new people, laughing, joking. He loved his 1999 Harley nicknamed “Cochina”, dog Max and his long gray ponytail. He was a passionate rider and enjoyed long rides to neighboring states. 

He will be greatly missed by all those who had the privilege to meet and spend time with him. 

He is survived by his mother, Maria, partner Rachel, two sisters, Michelle (Andreas) Vogel, Veronica (Alex) Rivas; three sons, Joseph (Erika), Marco (Maddie) and Francisco; granddaughter, Sophia and grandson, Marco; nieces Zara, Kate, Luna and nephew, Alexander. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph.
