Mary Pohl
Mary Pohl, 89, of Staples passed away September 12, 2016 at the Lakewood Health System Hospital in Staples.
Services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, September 15 at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples, with Pastor Roy Miles officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services.
Interment will be at Evergreen Hill Cemetery in Staple.
Arrangements are with the Brenny Funeral Home, Staples.
Mary was born May 25, 1927 in Staples to Leo and Margaret (Skaife) Simkins. She graduated from Staples High School. Mary worked as a nurse’s aide at the Mary Rondorf Home and at the Carter Ringer Sewing Company in Staples. Mary was united in marriage to Theodore “Ted” Pohl on September 1, 1961 at Bar Harbor. Mary loved to travel and take walks.
She is survived by her three daughters, Karen (Garry) Carpenter of Staples, Cynthia “Penny” (Merl) Engleking of Leesburg, FL, Rebecca (Joe) Kestner of Swanville; three sons, Leland “Butch” Webster of Philbrook, Daniel Pohl of Coon Rapids, David (Jill) Pohl of Mora; 14 grandchildren; 24 greatgrandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; five brothers, Harold, Ernie, Ollie, Earl, Charles “Joe” and one grandchild, Cindy Engleking. w37c A00006B2016SP15
