Pearl Baker

Pearl Anita Baker, 88, of Minneapolis, passed away  November 29, 2016, at her home.

Services will be held  Saturday, December 10, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at Apostolic Faith Church, 2900 29th Ave S, Mpls. Visitation  will be one hour prior to services at the church.  

Interment will be held Tuesday, Dec. 13, 1 p.m., at Evergreen Hill Cemetery in Staples.  

Arrangements are with Brenny Funeral Chapel and Cremation Services, Staples.

Pearl was born February 4, 1928, in St. Paul to James Charles and Esther Mabel (Swenson) Baker. After completing her education, Pearl went to work for the U.S. State Department. Her job took her to Germany, Saudi Arabia, Libya, Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) and Singapore. After 40 years, Pearl retired and made her home in Minneapolis. She filled her time with many hobbies and spending time with family and friends. Pearl kept her high school spirit, always cheering for the Staples Cardinals.  

Pearl is survived by one sister, Bonita Baker, of Minneapolis; two brothers, John Baker, of Minneapolis and Dave Baker, of Culver City, CA; sister-in-law, Donna Baker, of Happy Valley, OR; many nieces, nephews and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister Beulah and one brother Ben.
