Rebecca Lindgren
Rebecca Lynne Lindgren (née Kaeter), 63, lovingly known as Becky, passed away on May 1, 2026, in Staples.
A Celebration of Life will be held May 15, 2026, at noon at Faith Lutheran Church, 430 12th St NE. Visitation is one hour prior to services at the church.
Rebecca was born October 12, 1962, in St. Cloud, the cherished daughter of Bob and Bonnie Kaeter.
Becky grew up on her family’s dairy farm near Sauk Rapids, where she developed a strong work ethic and a deep appreciation for family and community. She graduated from Foley High School in 1981 and earned her Associate of Arts degree in Accounting from St. Cloud Technical College.
Becky and Kerry met in Foley, where he taught agricultural education at the high school. Becky’s younger brother, Brent - then Kerry’s student - arranged a blind date. Becky and Kerry married on July 14, 1989 and joyfully welcomed Megan on June 21, 1994 and Molly on March 27, 2001.
Faith was an integral part of Becky’s life. A member of Faith Lutheran Church, she found joy in serving as a Sunday school teacher, making mission quilts, serving on the bereavement committee and helping the Blue Mats group, sewing mats for the unhoused.
Becky belonged to the Piecemakers Quilt group and Barn Quilts of Central MN. She volunteered at the Staples Library, Living Legacy Garden and as a Sparks Mentor at Staples Elementary.
Becky loved being outdoors year-round. Gardening, sewing, quilting, crafting and reading brought peace, fulfillment and opportunities to express her endless creativity. Above all else, Becky treasured time spent with family. Her selflessness and thoughtfulness was evident in every aspect of her life, consistently putting others before herself and experiencing joy in doing so.
Becky is survived by her husband Kerry Lindgren; two daughters Megan Lindgren and Molly Lindgren; two brothers, Brad (Cindy) Kaeter and Brent Kaeter; mother-in-law, Liz Lindgren; two sisters-in-law, Kim (Doyle) Ranstrom and Kelly (Kevin) Coughlin and nephews, nieces, grandnephews, and grandnieces.
Becky is preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Brian and father-in-law, Del Lindgren.
Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her for her kindness, creativity and love.
