Richard Busker
Richard “Rick” Allen Busker, 67, passed away surrounded by his family November 5, 2017 following a long struggle with cancer.
A celebration of Rick’s life will be held May 26, 2018 at the Bill and Vicki Busker residence in Browerville.
Arrangements are with the Brenny Funeral Home, Staples.
Richard “Rick” Allen Busker was born on March 10, 1950 in Bertha to Herman and Roberta (Williams) Busker. Rick grew up working on the family farm and in 1970 he started working as a union pipefitter. After 16 years, Rick began a new venture as a builder and mason where he became known in the trade for his creativity, passion and ability to “always figure it out”.
He was an avid outdoorsman spending his time hunting and fishing. He was a pioneer of compound bow hunting and provided for his family. Rick took 599 whitetail deer in his lifetime with a bow.
Rick enjoyed spending time with his family and taking friends “under his wing.”
He is survived by four sons, Corey (Amy) Busker of Savage, Luke (Tera) Busker of Roberts, WI, Dan Busker of Woodbury, Richard Busker of Minneapolis; four daughters, Rosalee (Justin) Evenson of Colorado Springs, CO, Michelle (Nathan) Sandeen of Lakeville, Elizabeth (Tony) Ruiz of Flagstaff, AZ, Molly Busker of Golden, CO; 14 grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Lewis Busker of Henning; Darlene (Richard, Sr.) Gregerson of Cass Lake; Donna (Clif) Sadlo of Browerville; Grace (Cory) Jyrkas of Little Falls; Beverly (Allen) Harrison of Junction City, KS; Bill (Vicki) Busker of Browerville; Gloria (Janis) Veiss of Bemidji; JoAnne (Randy) of Benton City, WA; Verna (Kevin) Olmschenk of Browerville and a host nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
