Russell Bacon

Russell “Larry” Bacon, formerly of Staples, passed away October 21, 2020 at St. Gabriel’s Hospital in Little Falls. 

Services will be held at a later date.

Larry was born June 26, 1947 in St. Louis County to Neoma (Scully) Bacon and Otto Bacon. He attended school in Staples and after schooling he worked various jobs.

Larry is survived by four sisters, Marlys Jares of Staples, Geraldine McKinney of Brimson, Lois Kern of Fergus Falls and Deb Brandt of St. Cloud and one brother, Randy (Connie) Bacon of Albertville.

He was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers, Hubert, Darrell, Clyde, Glen, Earl and Bernard; two sisters, Norma and Carol; five brothers-in-law Frank Jares, Roy McKinney, Dick Kern, Mike Elarton and Mike Brandt; one nephew, Robert Bruun and one very special friend, Vicki.

The family would like to give a special thank you to all the staff at the Harding Place and St. Gabriel’s Hospital.
