Stella Robben

Stella Louise Robben, 78, of Staples, passed away August 5, 2021, at Lakewood Health System, Staples.

Mass of Christian Burial was held August 9 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Staples.

Interment was at Evergreen Hill Cemetery, Staples.

Stella was born in Bertha Village on February 4, 1943 to Gorman and Helen (Block) Bratsch. She graduated high school from Browerville. She married Richard Robben on July 13, 1963. Stella and Rich owned a dairy farm and also raised beef cattle, hogs and sheep. She was employed by Lakewood Health System, working in dietary for 18 years. She loved shopping with her best friend, Carol and spending time at the DQ watching cars go by. Above all else, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Stella is survived by five  children: Tammy (Steve) Mumm of Staples, Tim (Joanie) of Motley, Chris (Julie) of Motley, Joe (Lori) of Pillager and Danny (Heather) of Motley; seven  grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; one brother, Kenneth Bratsch and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; one son, David; one daughter, Mary Ann; her parents; one sister, Charlotte and one brother, Melvin. 

Arrangements were by the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Staples.
