Vera Dickman

Vera M. Dickman, 84, Forest Lake, unexpectedly passed away April 26, 2023, at M Health Fairview Hospital in Wyoming.

Services will be held Fri., May 5 at noon at the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel in Staples. Visitation will be held Thurs., May 4, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Fri., May 5  one hour prior to services at the  Brenny Family Funeral Chapel.  

Vera was born October 8, 1938, to Alfred and Angeline (Riley) Greenwaldt in Staples. She grew up there graduating from Staples High School. She married Elmer Dickman from Staples. Vera had an outgoing personality. Everyone she met was drawn to her. She was a loving mother and grandmother and was truly loved by her family. She enjoyed spending every summer at the family farm, visiting relatives, traveling, cooking for family and friends, completing puzzles, reading and playing games on her tablet. She will be missed by all who knew her. 

Vera is survived by one son, Kevin Dickman; two daughters, Pam O’Brien and Teresa Dickman; two grandchildren, Ryan O’Brien and Allanah O’Brien; three brothers, Bob (Lorraine) Greenwaldt, Gerald (Shelba) Greenwaldt and Phil (Mary) Greenwaldt; two sisters-in-law, Erma Greenwaldt and Diane Dickman and beloved nephews and nieces.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Elmer; parents and six siblings, Violet, Kenny, Florence, Irene, Alice and Ben.

Arrangements are by the  Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Staples
