Wanda Cestnik

Wanda L. (Poynter) Cestnik, 68, of Motley, passed away with her family by her side, January 22, 2017 at Lakewood Health System Care Center in Staples.

Services will be held  Saturday, Jan. 28, at 10:30 a.m. at the Staples Church of Christ with Pastor Barry Klein officiating. Visitation will be held Friday, Jan. 27, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples and on Saturday one hour prior to the services at the church.  

Interment will be at the Motley Public Cemetery.

Arrangements are with the Brenny Funeral Chapel, Staples.

Wanda was born April 1, 1948 in Little Falls to Theodore and Hazel (Tinkham) Poynter. She graduated from Motley High School. Wanda was known for her giving nature, her strong work ethic and passion for serving others. She enjoyed coming up with new gadgets; feeding people and trying out new recipes. She worked at Tri County Livestock, Motley where she managed the kitchen. She enjoyed  crossword puzzles, reading, current events, Sudoku and never turned down a lively political discussion. Wanda enjoyed playing the guitar, singing with her family and spending time with her grandchildren.

Wanda is survived by two daughters, Veronica (Jim) Schulz and Natasha (Brent Beimert) Cestnik; three sons, Joshua Cestnik, Dustin (Christina) Cestnik and Jacob (Amanda) Cestnik; twin brother, Wesley (Sharon) Poynter and brothers, Gary and Marvin Poynter; 16 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
