William Barg
William Eugene Barg, 83, of Pillager passed away December 15, 2016, as the result of a farming accident.
Memorial services were held Dec. 20, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Motley.
Interment will be held in the spring at Bridgeman Cemetery.
Arrangements were with Brenny Funeral Chapel of Staples.
Bill was born March 22, 1933 in Calhoun County, Iowa, to William and Theresa (Schienbein) Barg. He graduated from Motley High School in 1951. He served two years in the U.S. Army and attended North Dakota State University, where he received a degree in Architectural Drawing. He worked construction and carpentry jobs, while residing on his farm, where he raisied beef cattle and horses.
Bill is survived by Shirley, his wife of 46 years; two sons, Jason (Jen) and Clayton; eight grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; two sisters, Corrine Anderson, of Becker, Luella Knutson, of Pillager, two brothers, Ronald (Connie) Barg, of DuBois, Idaho and Virgil (Theresa) Barg, of St. Anthony, Idaho.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
