Letter to the Editor
On behalf of the Staples Motley Area Community Foundation I would like to thank all the performers, over 65 of them, who helped make our 4th Little Red Caboose Variety Show Aug. 25 at Centennial Auditorium, Staples, our most successful one yet. Thanks, too, to all the folks who took the time to attend and support the performers. The community support for this show has been fantastic!
I would also like to thank Lisa Jenkins and Jayme Carlson for their unending help in putting together the show. It was not only fun to put together, it was fun to watch as both very new performers and more experienced performers delighted the audience.
Thanks to Kevin Olsen, Chris Etzler, Tom Birchacek and Cody Hanson for all the work behind the curtains to keep the show running.
All proceeds, after expenses, will go back to the Staples and Motley communities through grants from the Staples Motley Area Community Foundation.
Finally, a big thank you to our local newspaper, the Staples World and staff, all the businesses that sold tickets, the Staples Motley Chamber of Commerce and Lakeland Public Television. We couldn’t have done it without the partnership of all these folks!
See you next year!!
