Choral music in good hands
Mr. Horn had some big shoes to fill in following Mr. Hoemberg as the Staples-Motley Choir Director. At first I was a little skeptical knowing Mr. Hoemberg and what kind of teacher he is.
After attending a choir concert, talking with Mr. Horn and going to the recent Madrigal Dinner I am convinced that he fits in those shoes quite well. In talking to some of the students they think he’s great.
He brings his own teaching style and presence to our music program. My family and I are excited to watch him grow into the Staples-Motley choral music director. Keep up the great work, Mr. Horn.
On another note, I want to thank all who were involved with the Madrigal. I feel it was another great success and look forward to the next one.

Bouquets for Madrigal
I do not throw bouquets unless deserved. Compliments from me do not come easily, so the following comments are sincere and from my heart.
Carmen and I were present at Staples-Motley High School Saturday evening for the first performance of this year’s Madrigal. We came away with a renewed sense of appreciation and pride for all those involved in making this Christmas celebration a wonderful success.
From start to finish the Madrigal exemplified hard work and great talent. Hats off to all of you. Cities and schools much larger than ours would find it hard to rival what you accomplished.
Also, the real reason we celebrate this season - the coming of the Messiah - came through loud and clear.
Thank you for a wonderful, memorable evening.
