Notice FRESHWATER EDUCATION DISTRICT #6004

 

DESCRIPTION OF 

PROPOSED SCHOOL CONSTRUCTION 

PROJECT

Freshwater Education District (Freshwater) #6004 is proposing the construction of a 30,000 square foot facility on a 7.4 acre site in the City of Wadena to serve member-districts’ students in a level IV setting and provide staff office space. The estimated project cost is $5 million. The National Joint Powers Alliance will provide a $5 million grant to finance the project. Freshwater’s proposed project does not require voter approval. Construction would be scheduled for completion in calendar years 2018 - 2019.

Based upon the department’s analysis of the school district’s required documentation and other pertinent information from sources of the Minnesota Department of Education, the Commissioner of Education provides a positive review and comment.
