Important Information Regarding Assessment and Classification 

of Property

your 2018 taxes

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Board of Appeal and Equalization for the City of Motley, in Morrison County and Cass County, Minnesota, shall meet on Friday the 28th day of April 2017, at 1:00 p.m. at the Motley City Hall. The purpose of this meeting is to determine whether taxable property in the jurisdiction has been properly valued and classified by the assessor, and to determine whether corrections need to be made.

If you believe the value or classification of your property is incorrect, please contact your assessors office to discuss your concerns. If you are still not satisfied with the valuation or classification after discussing it with your assessor, you may appear before the local board of appeal and equalization. The board shall review the valuation, classification, or both if necessary, and shall correct it as needed. Generally, an appearance before your local board of appeal and equalization is required by law before an appeal can be taken to the county board of appeal and equalization.

Central Lakes College is requesting proposals for an Edible Bean Combine.  A copy of the request for proposal may be obtained by calling Debbie Sterriker at Central Lakes College, 1830 Airport Road, Staples MN  56479, (218) 894-5103 or 1-800-247-6836.

Proposals must be submitted no later than 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 17, 2017. All proposals must be sealed and marked “Edible Bean Combine”. Submit proposals to:

MORAN TOWNSHIP Board of Appeal and Equalization

 

The Board of Appeal and Equalization for Moran Township will meet on April 17, 2017, 1:00 p.m. at the Moran Town Hall. The purpose of this meeting is to determine whether property in the jurisdiction has been properly valued by the assessor.

If you believe the value or classification of your property is incorrect, please contact your assessor’s office to discuss your concerns. If you disagree with the valuation or classification after discussing it with your assessor, you may appear before the local board of appeal and equalization. The board will review your assessments and may make corrections as needed. Generally, you must appeal to the local board before appealing to the county board of appeal and equalization.

STAPLES TOWNSHIP

BOARD OF APPEAL AND EQUALIZATION

MEETING AND

ROAD TOUR

 

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Appeal and Equalization for Staples Township shall meet on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. at the Town Hall for the purpose of determining whether taxable property in the jurisdiction has been properly valued and classified by the assessor and to determine whether corrections need to be made for 2017.

All persons considering themselves aggrieved by said assessment, or who wish to complain that the property of another is assessed too low, are hereby notified to appear at said meeting and show cause of having such assessment corrected. No complaint that another person is assessed too low will be acted upon until the person so assessed, or his/her agent, shall have been notified of such complaint.

The meeting will be scheduled by appointment only. Please contact the Todd County Assessor’s Office to schedule an appointment. Phone:  320-732-4430.

The annual road tour will immediately follow.
