ORDINANCE NO. 549

AN ORDINANCE 

REGARDING THE SALE OF PROPERTY

 

THE CITY OF STAPLES DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

Sec. 1: The City of Staples is hereby empowered to sell the following real estate located in the City of Staples, County of Wadena, State of Minnesota in accordance with the sale price to be authorized by the City Council:

Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8, Block 1, First Addition to Valley View Neighborhood; 

AND Lots 1 and 2,  Block 2, First Addition to Valley View Neighborhood

Sec. 2: The net proceeds from the sale shall be used pursuant to Section 11.05 of the Staples City Charter.

Sec. 3: The Mayor and City Administrator are authorized to execute any documents to complete the sale.

Sec. 4: This ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage and publication in accordance with law.

A Petition for Determination of Descent has been filed with this Court. The Petition represents that the Decedent died more than three years ago, leaving property in Minnesota and requests the probate of Decedent’s last Will (if any), and the descent of such property be determined and assigned by this Court to the persons entitled to the property. 

Any objections to the Petition must be filed with the Court prior to or raised at the hearing.  If proper, and no objections are filed or raised, the Petition may be granted. 

This Hearing will be held:

X Via Zoom; this will be  an administrative hearing, and your appearance is not required. If there is an objection to this petition, you will be notified of another date and time. 

IT IS ORDERED and Notice is further given, that the Petition will be heard on September 23, 2024, at 10:14 a.m., by this Court at First Avenue South, Long Prairie, Minnesota.

1. Notice shall be given to all interested persons (MINN. STAT. § 524.1-401) and persons who have filed a demand for notice pursuant to Minnesota Statutes section 524.3-204.

2. Notice shall be given by publishing this Notice and Order as provided by law and by:

Mailing a copy of this Notice and Order at least 14 days prior to the hearing date.

PETITION TO AMEND THE ZONING 

ORDINANCE #1 

 

 Notice is hereby given that on Thursday the 5th day of September, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. the Planning Commission will hold a public hearing in the Auditorium of the Wadena County Courthouse to consider an amendment to the Zoning Ordinance #1 Section 19 Solar Energy Systems. 

The full context of this amendment can be found on the County website calendar at www.co.wadena.mn.us by clicking on the date on the calendar. All persons interested are invited to attend said hearing and be heard on this matter. Written correspondence must be received by the Wadena County Zoning Office, 415 Jefferson St. S., Room 234, Wadena, MN 56482 before close of business the day of the hearing in order to be accepted and must include the full name and address of the person sending the correspondence in order to be accepted for presentation to the Planning Commission at the public hearing.
