A reminder that the following township offices will be voted for at the State General Election to be held Tuesday, November 5, 2024. Candidates may file for these offices from July 30, 2024 through 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 13, 2024. You may call Ty Peterson, 703-209-2678 for an appointment or the office of the clerk will be open Tuesday, August 13, 2024 from 1:00 to  5:00 p.m. located at 7969 65th Ave. SW, Motley, MN  56466. Candidates must complete an Affidavit of Candidacy and pay a $2.00 filing fee at the time of filing.

Filings will be accepted during the filing period for the following offices to be elected on November 5, 2024:

APPLICATION FOR A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT

 

 Notice is hereby given that on Thursday, the 15th day of August, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. the Planning Commission will hold a public hearing in the Multi-Purpose Room of the Wadena County Courthouse to consider the application of Michael and Pamela Withage, for a Conditional Use Permit for the property described as follows: NE1/4 of NW1/4 & W1/2 NW1/4 **with exceptions; Section 20, Township 134 North, Range 33 West, Thomastown Township, located in an A-3 General Agriculture District.

The application is an amendment of an existing Conditional Use Permit, which allowed up to 12 intact female dogs and up to 20 dogs for boarding. If approved, the amendment would allow the number of intact female breeding dogs on the property to be increased from 12 to 32 and would remove boarding of dogs for other people from the permit.

More information on this application may be found on the County website calendar at www.co.wadena.mn.us. All persons interested are invited to attend said hearing and be heard on this matter. Written correspondence must be received by the Wadena County Zoning Office, 415 Jefferson St. S., Room 234, Wadena, MN  56482 before close of business the day of the hearing in order to be accepted and must include the full name and address of the person sending the correspondence in order to be accepted for presentation to the Planning Commission at the public hearing.  The correspondence may be submitted in person, by U.S. Mail, or by e-mail to the Zoning Office but it MUST include the required information.
