Public Notices June 26, 2019
bartlett township residents approach/culvert updated policy
as of May 2019
Land Owner will get
a Permit from Township first, at no charge.
Bartlett Township will pay for the installation using the Township Contractor. Land Owner will be responsible for the cost of the Culvert plus the material that contractor supplies to build the approach, minus a $4.00 per yard reimbursement on fill and the township will supply the surface gravel. The township will be responsible for the source of the fill material and culvert and that it is installed per County Specifications.
Culverts will be a minimum of 30 feet; Must be installed by Township Contractor
Once a culvert is installed per Township Requirements the Township takes over all maintenance costs associated with maintaining that approach. If an existing Approach needs maintenance or updating and it was not installed per Township Policy it would have to be replaced following above Policy. Also if a Land Owner wants to widen their Approach, it would follow above the Policy regarding costs.
