NOTICE is hereby given that the Staples City Council gave an ordinance its first reading to amend Staples City Code Section 5.6 relating to the Zoning Code.

Call to Order

The Todd County Board of Commissioners met in the Commissioner’s Board Room in the City of Long Prairie, MN on the 3rd day of September, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Kneisl. The meeting was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance. Commissioner Kircher and Neumann were absent.

Approval of Agenda

On motion by Erickson and seconded by Becker, the following motion was introduced and adopted by unanimous vote: To approve the agenda as presented.

Consent Agenda

On motion by Becker and seconded by Erickson, the following motions and resolutions were introduced and adopted by unanimous vote:

To approve the Commissioner’s Meeting Minutes for August 20, 2019 as presented.

To approve Jennifer Froderman to fill the open Social Worker position.

GAMBLING PERMIT - IVY’S LEGACY 

FOUNDATION, INC.

WHEREAS, the Todd County Board of Commissioners are establishing their approval for a Gambling Permit for the Ivy’s Legacy Foundation, Inc. through this resolution;

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Todd County Board of Commissioners approve a Gambling Permit for the Ivy’s Legacy Foundation, Inc. to hold a raffle event at the Howard and Katherine Marthaler property in Kandota Township at the address 10098 County 11, Sauk Centre, MN on October 26, 2019.

On motion by Becker and seconded by Erickson, the following resolution was introduced and adopted by unanimous vote:

A RESOLUTION 

AUTHORIZING THE CANCELLATION OF MOBILE HOME TAXES

WHEREAS, The Todd County Auditor/Treasurer’s Office has conducted extensive research on the attached list of personal property mobile home parcels and has deemed them uncollectible, due to one or more reasons including but not limited to, owner deceased, sold and/or removal of mobile home, owner no longer in the area and the mail is undeliverable to the taxpayer and;

WHEREAS, Minnesota Statute 277.24 authorizes the County Auditor/Treasurer to cancel the taxes deemed uncollectible. and;

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Todd County Board of Commissioners hereby authorize the Todd County Auditor/Treasurer to remove the mobile home taxes, per attached list, from the tax rolls, for the years listed, in the amount of $6,908.00 as allowed by Minnesota Statute 277.24.
