NOTICE of offices to be filed at the 

state general election for which candidates file with the wadena county auditor/treasurer 

To the residents of Wadena County:

Notice is hereby given as provided in Minnesota Statute 204B.33 that a General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 for the purpose of electing candidates for the offices listed below. The filing period for these offices is 8:00 a.m., May 17, 2016, to 5:00 p.m., May 31, 2016. The last day to withdraw is June 2, 2016 5:00 p.m. The place of filing is the Wadena County Auditor/Treasurer’s Office, 415 Jefferson St S, Wadena, MN 56482.

Note: Filing offices will be closed Monday, May 30, 2016 in observance of Memorial Day.

The place of filing for state offices is with the Office of the Secretary of State or with the county auditor of the county in which the candidate resides.

LEGISLATIVE OFFICES United States 

Representative District 8 

State Senator District 2 & 9

State Representative 

District 2B & 9A JUDICIAL OFFICES Supreme Court Associate Justice (One Seat) Seat 6        

Court of Appeals (Nine Seats) Seats 5, 8, 11, 13 (6th Congressional District), 14 (8th Congressional District), 16,17,18,19

  Appellate offices are elected statewide. Where designated, candidates must reside in the Congressional district listed for at least one year.

Representative - $100.00 Judicial Offices - $300.00 County Offices & 

County Wide Offices - $50.00
