Boys win home track meet
The Staples Motley boys track team had six victories, including two relay wins, to win their home meet on April 28. The girls team finished third.
The boys opened the meet by winning the 4x800 meter relay with Ryan Trout, Tyler Johnson, Frank Karbowiak and Isaia Ross-Bahn carrying the baton to victory in 8:53. They closed the meet by winning the 4x400 relay, with Johnson, Ross-Bahn and Karbowiak teaming up with Max Giza to win in 3:41.
The girls team had four wins, Millie Klefsaas in the 100 hurdles and pole vault, Kira Sweeney in the 3,200, plus the 4x100 relay team.
