Cardinals earn state recognition

Andrew Israelson, was named Mr. Minnesota Golf, for the top male high school golfer. Israelson was among eight boys nominated by a statewide selection committee of coaches and golf leaders and was chosen the winner in the first year of the award. He received the award at the Windsong Farm Golf Course in Independence on June 11.

Millie Klefsaas earned two gold medals at the state track and field meet June 10-11, winning the 100 meter hurdles in 14.99 and setting a state meet pole vault record at 12 feet.
