GBB - big win
The Staples Motley girls basketball team got back to the basics and it resulted in a 63-36 win over Frazee on Feb. 11.
With a five day break between games, Coach Craig Wolhowe said “we reviewed some basics and it helped. We were very solid on defense in the first half giving up 16 points, and no offensive rebounds.” The Cardinals had only five turnovers for the game. “These are the three things we have been trying to improve on,” said Wolhowe.
Claire Wolhowe led the team with 21 points and 10 rebounds. She made eight of twelve shots. The team passed well as Quinn Uhlman has six assists and Amber Robben had five.
