This human jawbone found in the Crow Wing River north of Staples was determined to be of ancient origin. The Wadena County Sheriff’s Office said the bone will undergo archaeological evaluation and then be properly interned. Jennifer Barg said her cousin found the bone near the family property they call “Marshland”. The property was originally owned by Alice and Monroe Marsh and is now owned by Barg and her brothers.
